NetApp has endorsed smartphone and tablet access to its support system. Users can now track support case status from their iPad, iPhone or Android phones.
Although no official announcement has been made as yet it is available on the support page of NetApp (http://www.netapp.com/us/support/asup-app.html). You will be sent to a page showing iPad, iPhone and Android device pages. Then you will be told:
NetApp Support provides information about Cases, Contact Details, AutoSupport, Storage Efficiency, and Fitness of your NetApp storage systems. The application is available to NetApp Customers, Partners, and Employees helping users to enhance operational and storage efficiency.
The iPad and iPhone apps are the same and available in English and Spanish. NetApp has not taken advantage of the iPad’s larger screen. The app is very basic and allows you to monitor the status of support cases, very nifty but nothing special.
