Although Facebook has had a tough few weeks plenty of advertisers big and small are still spending substantial sums with the social network specifically through advertising.
The UK government and specifically one branch which has spent around £100,000 to get more overseas visitors in. It seems the Great campaign had won nearly half a million “likes” for 13 Facebook pages promoting various aspects of British life, business and culture.
It is still early days in terms of social advertising but it is interesting to see how this all works out for the government.
